As a strategy enthusiast, I sought to create a rogue-like game that offers players the opportunity to develop their character over extended play sessions. After dedicating significant time to learning coding, I successfully built this game.
Here is a breakdown of the pros and cons:
- Pro: It is available for free. Despite requiring around 200 hours of development, players can enjoy it without any cost.
- Con: Players must watch a brief ad upon losing, which amounts to approximately five seconds. Given the extensive development time, this tradeoff seems reasonable.
- Pro: The game offers endless replayability. As players win, they unlock new features and challenges, enhancing the gaming experience.
- Con: Achieving significant progression requires a considerable number of victories to access the more exciting content.
- Pro: I was responsible for every aspect of the game—design, graphics, music, and coding. This personal involvement gives the game a unique touch.
- Con: As this is my first application, my skills in these areas are still developing. Constructive feedback is appreciated.
